March 2003 The McDonnell Douglas Corp is being awarded a $689,529,166 contract modification to provide Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) Lot 7 Guidance Kits. The JDAM weapon system provides an improved aerial delivery capability for 500, 1,000, and 2,000-pound bombs. JDAM is a strap-on kit with Inertial Navigation System/ Global Positioning System capability. Air Armament Center is the contracting activity. |
