TRIPLE ALICE III

On the Ghan to Adelaide and to the home I'm about to fold up and leave. But it's home nevertheless. The sun is beginning its decent into the western plains. My hips, butt muscles and lower back burn with a constant aching thud. The landscape outside is smothered with dusty reddish pink desert blooms with occasional blobs of yellow and white. One of those ridiculously long trains that carry everything but people passes by for what seems an endless moment frozen in time.

Four weeks in the desert. 21 days working on the Triple Alice Project #3. Arrive, participate and depart at will - my motto in life, a series of circles overlapping one another, but always in circles. Triple Alice is an arts/ body weather laboratory envisioned by Tess de Quincey - dancer, chorographer, open, tough, and a generous, giving woman. A maverick to say the least. I have always had love and energy for those who take the hard road, the invisible tracks, blind unknown territory…
